Taco Tuesday: Love Rocco DiSpirito’s Healthy and Delicious

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwI love Rocco Di Spirito’s sense of adventure, love of REAL FOOD, and the over 200 healthy recipes he created in his new recipe book—-Rocco’s Healthy and Delicious. By the way, this is not simply a cookbook it is more of a change of lifestyle, but accomplished  in a comfortable way.

Rocco starts out by telling readers how not why, he doesn’t preach to us, he tells how to get and create healthy foods, meals to devour. He tells us to not eat processed foods, but not how bad they are for us. He literally shows us the way to eating healthy, delicious  meals. Most of the meals are vegetable or fruit based. But Rocco does demonstrate how to eat healthy by incorporating meat in numerous meals also. It’s not all about the veggies!

Rocco’s sense of frivolity reaches out and grabs readers as we turn back the first page. Rocco kind of makes eating REAL FOOD fun! He doesn’t make it a dull we have to do this to be healthy kind of thing. Nope, Rocco makes creating stellar dishes interesting, delicious without telling us all of the bad reasons we should not be eating processed, made by man foods. Which by the way is not food. It is garbage. He does tell readers when we eat real food such as vegetables, fruits bought at farmer’s markets. Then to top it off the glossary lists each meal he has included in this more than a recipe cookbook. There are more than 200 recipes, each with a picture.

Rocco DiSpirito’s Healthy and Delicious is a cookbook we will want to place ever so lovingly in the kitchen as a sort of security blanket to switching over to real food, found at farmer’s markets, not the garbage we buy where we purchase our tires! Included are recipes with shrimp a totally different take on meatloaf—which my family wants me to make right away. They are tired of my old fashioned method of making meatloaf. Steak with balsamic BBQ sauce, Italian sloppy Joe’s, the list goes on.

OMG! Rocco Di Spirito’s latest recipe cookbook is an adventure to look forward to! Momzinga.com.
