WEIRD NEWS WEDNESDAY: FORMER CIA AGENT WANTS TO BUY TWITTER TO SHUT DOWN TRUMP

WEIRD NEWS WEDNESDAY—I want everything my way, or else, I’ll pout over here in the corner!

After finding this Associated Press story, I have come to the conclusion that  some people have become an entirely new level of selfish and asinine. A former CIA agent wants to buy Twitter for a billion dollars by raising the funds from where else—you and me, People, you and me! Then she wants to own Twitter and say who can and who can’t go on Twitter.

Have to tell you that takes humanity to a whole new low level of asinine, because she is not allowing freedom of speech by not allowing Donald Trump, our president to say what he wants on Twitter. It’s one of the amendments to the Constitution, —the right to freedom of speech.

Which leads to the question if Valerie Plame Wilson actually got a controlling interest in Twitter who would be next to not be allowed to say what is on their minds on Twitter? What’s next, we can’t say what we want to say on our personal blogs?

Wilson launched the fundraiser August 18, tweeting: “If @Twitter executives won’t shut down Trump’s violence and hate, then it’s up to us. #BuyTwitter #BanTrump.” The GoFundMe page for the fundraiser says Trump’s tweets “damage the country and put people in harm’s way.”

As of Wednesday morning, she had raised less than $6,000 of the billion-dollar goal.

In an emailed statement, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the low total shows that the American people like the president’s use of Twitter.

“Her ridiculous attempt to shut down his first amendment is the only clear violation and expression of hate and intolerance in this equation,” the statement read.

If she doesn’t have enough to purchase a majority of shares, she said that she will explore options to buy “a significant stake” and champion the proposal at Twitter’s annual shareholder meeting.
