Momzinga’s Taco Tuesday:Best Meatloaf Ever!

The first meal I made when I got married was a traditional meatloaf. I know it sounds boring, right? Not in my book. Meatloaf is one of the best main dishes you can serve your family, (high iron and vitamin content. Over 26 years, I created a better meatloaf by adding spices, and Italian seasoned bread crumbs. Buy the more expensive hamburger, which is what about 10 bucks a pound today? It used to be the least expensive meat, but now costs more than fish. Here is my take on a good old-fashioned meatloaf that I combined with my hubby’s recipe, my Dad’s recipe, and what I added to make it taste BETTER!

2 pounds 90 percent hamburger.
1 cup of seasoned bread crumbs
2 slices of bread (Break up into small pieces.)
1 cup of warm water
1 cup ketchup
3 eggs
Half of a medium onion, cup up into small sections
A quarter of a cup of butter
A small amount of garlic
A dash of salt
A dash of pepper
A teaspoon of parsley
A teaspoon of basil
Combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Stir until mixed, and or mix all of the ingredients together with your hands.
Mold the mixture into a bread baking pan.

The object is to create the meatloaf into what resembles a loaf of bread.
You can use any cooking dish you own. Bake in the oven at 350 for sixty minutes. It may take longer if you have 2 pounds of hamburger.(Up to 90 minutes.)
Serve with your favorite veggies and baked potatoes. Copyright(c)2014! WRITTEN BY MOMZINGA.COM
